Son of a Nutcracker!

November 24th, 2007

I am soaking in this holiday season. So far I have watched Love Actually, The Holiday, and am currently enjoying Elf. Yesterday I kicked the season off by visiting our friendly neighborhood Target and spending far too much on holiday decor. Then I proceeded to come home and filled our home with my precious silver and gold. My iPod will soon be loaded with my favorite Christmas carols, which I will proceed to sing loudly to and from work. Yesterday Kelly acted as our photographer and took our Christmas picture. It was quite a challenge with the dogs, but he managed to get two really cute pictures that I could not choose between, so there are two versions of our Christmas card. I thought I would share some pictures of our decorated home to inspire those who have not quite gotten the holiday bug like I have.

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures of my obsessive holiday decorating. I love our real wreath, it fills our home with the smell without having the real tree. I felt so crafty because I picked those pine cones up off the ground and then spray painted them silver. Then I completely lost all my old ornaments and those little hook things with them during my move, but I took some leftover silver ribbon and tied each ornament to the tree. I am very excited to spend my first holiday season with my husband. I also can’t wait to spend time with all our family. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many loving people.

I hope you all are enjoying your holiday season. Happy holidays! and here’s your joy!
