Framing

Sometimes life just really wants something to happen. I wasn’t sure if I was going to have time this week for an exposaroonie shot, but then life threw one right in front of my face and told me I better just take the shot and get it over with. I was stopping to get our mail at the post office today and when I came out I hear this Bam! Then I looked and saw this big lab’s paws hanging out of a horse trailer a few feet away. His big dark eyes were staring at me, and he stood up there a few moments while my brain slowly processed what was in front of me. Hello Stephanie wake up! Here is your shot! So I hurried back to the car and starting digging through my purse to find my camera. No camera! Well dang. That would have been a great submission.

So I get home, and start looking around our yard for something that would work for framing. Nothing. I then came in grabbed my camera and keys and went back to the post office, and thankfully the horse trailer and dog were still there. He was still a very good model as I snapped pictures of him and hoped his owners would not be coming out of the restaurant anytime soon.

And so… my submission:

Lesson learned: Don’t leave your camera at home!

Hee, I like how you told this story! So cute that the doggie was just dying to be a little model for you! And so cool that the doggie was still there and ready for his/her photo opt when you came back! It was meant to be! And you got a great shot! Kudos to you!

I’ve been a bad little exposaroonie-er lately. I didn’t do last week, and I have yet to figure one out for this week either. I think I’ve just enjoyed sitting back and seeing everyone else’s wonderful work.
