Taggage

I was tagged recently by loveMaegan and Stephanie. How exciting! So you all get a 2fer! SWEET!

Tag #1

Here are the rules:

  • Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
  • Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
  • Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here we go…

  1. I used to watch Friends every night to fall asleep. But used to is kind of not true. Because I still do most nights. Or The Office. It’s an awful habit I picked up while I was living in the dorms and was trying to drown out my first roommate’s nose whistling while she slept. Cale would like to take the TV and throw it through the window.
  2. I drink a lot of coffee. A lot. And I was just thinking this morning about how I think it’s time for some teeth whitening as a result.
  3. I have a Top Team bowling pin on my desk at work. Last after-busy-season party we had a bowling competition, and my team won. I don’t know how much I helped with my score of 76. If only it were golf. Then that score would be really good.
  4. Have I mentioned how desperately I am waiting for my CPA exam score to post? Not only do I want to officially know I am done. But I really want my bonus so that I can finally get my very first dslr camera. (just checked and still score pending).
  5. Sometimes I’m really horrible at being domestic. Cooking has just really been something I’m not interested in lately. Mainly for the lack of free time factor. But maybe being domestic isn’t something that’s super important to me at the moment. And that is okay.
  6. One thing I will never sacrifice: being clean. Am I in a bad mood one day? Most likely it’s because my house is dirty. No joke.
  7. Small things make my day. I get a cookie? Oh yay! I got a new magazine in the mail? Yay! Cale took out the trash? w00t! I’m very fickle in that way.

For this I have to tag seven people so I’m choosing some newer blogs I’ve found recently:

  1. Anna Bar1: Morgan’s friend in Fresno and has a new blog, which is quite adorable, btw.
  2. Allison: As You Wish, I’m trying to force new blog content on you.. July 16th as your last post?? tsk tsk.
  3. Kortney Brand: Changing things up. One of the many I follow on Twitter.
  4. Lisa’s Chaos: She just had this super-fun contest, and she takes A-MAH-ZING pictures.
  5. Lovely Lynnie: Another of Morgan’s friends who I’m looking forward to blog-stalking. Looking to lose weight? This girl is my hero, she looks so great!
  6. Sara McGinness: She just got her first dslr. Only slightly jealous. Promise.
  7. Snarkygirl08: Okay could her blog be any cuter?

Tag #2

And now for Steph’s (not me, I don’t refer to myself in the third person… not unless it’s “Stephie hungry” in a growly voice.. anyways..): Eight things I want to accomplish before I die. Pretty deep for a Friday afternoon.

  1. Absolute number one, like if I died tomorrow this is the one and only thing I would regret so so very much. Have a child. In my ideal world I would have a whole bunch of them and we would sing in our own band (just kidding about that last part), but yes I desperately want to be a mom. In time. I just can’t die before that. I mean come on, I have to pass on these awesome genes. (and you think I’m kidding about that)
  2. Travel. Where? Don’t even get me started. There are too many places to name. I want to see the world and experience other cultures.
  3. Buy a house. One to be proud of. I know our first house when we buy one won’t be something too nice, but eventually I want something I can envision grandchildren running up and down the stairs in and will always love as grandma’s house.
  4. Find that one dish that I rock at cooking. The dish that one day when I’m long gone, my daughter will have memorized the recipe and will make when she’s missing me.
  5. Learn to sew and design clothes. And to do it well.
  6. Take a photograph that one day I will have printed and that will hang above my fireplace mantel.
  7. Have something published.
  8. Run a marathon. Now honestly I just thought of that right now, and it being on the bottom of the list shows you something. But yeah. Maybe I want to do this? I don’t know eight things is a lot to think of!

For this I have to tag five people so how about some good standby bloggers:

  1. Talia: Here is some easy content for your weary pregnant self.
  2. Morgan: yeah okay you know this is coming whenever I get tagged
  3. Miss Cay Cay: wtf mate, I make you a blog and you don’t write? How about now…
  4. Cale: Yes my husband jumped ship. I talk about us and he wants his own blog to talk about who knows what. gaming
  5. Alyssa: I’ll trade you this tag for you to come visit us and bring frozen yogurt with fruity pebbles… yes?

I swear Tahoe pictures will be edited this weekend. I just have to carefully pry the laptop out of my husband’s hands in order to do so.

  1. Thanks for the tag…this will be my first time being tagged so we’ll see what I come up with for 7 random weird facts about myself. Just so you know I was super jealous of everyone else you had a dslr, I think about after three months of my husband listening to me say..ooh did you see that camera, that was a Nikon D300, nice lens, he agreed that I should get one. It will happen, I am keepin my fingers crossed for you test scores to come in soon (like Monday). :) have a great weekend.

I know I’m so bad for not blogging. Thank you for tagging me. I love to be tagged, that’s probably kinda sick, but whatever. When I read that I had been tagged I literally clapped my hands. Andrew was sitting next to me when I did it and he laughed. I will try to blog this tonight or by the end of the weekend. Thanks again.

  3. Crystal says:

Oh my gosh. You and I have so many of the same life goals! I actually have been lucky enough to check off traveling (we lived abroad for almost two years), buying a house (we bought our house new two years ago–of course the value has fallen about 100,000 since then!) and having a child (we had to do fertility drugs so consider ourselves extremely lucky.) But publishing, running a marathon, and sewing and designing clothes are all high on my list. Here’s to us accomplishing our goals!!!

  4. Talia says:

ooh, so fun Cale is getting his own blog!
I loved your seven random things. Yours are so interesting to read… I always feel like I’m grasping at straws when I write those. :)
THANKS for tagging me, that is going to be the perfect easy post! You’re so thoughtful… I am already looking forward to do it and thinking of my life goals. Some of them are the same as yours… especially 2, 4, 5, and 7. So I promise if you see any of those I am not just copying you. :)
Oh, number one. I’m so glad you put that as numero uno, because you guys having kids is something I look forward to so much. Actually, I went to Lisa’s baby shower today, and for some reason the whole time I was thinking about you and how I can’t wait to go to your baby shower someday. What a JOYOUS family day that will be!!! I could just picture all us girls having the most fun ever at that thing. :)

What a fun meme that second one is!!

I thought it was funny that #5 in your first meme is that you’re not “that good” at being domestic, after which you proceed to tell us that you’re ALWAYS clean! And then nearly all of your bucket list is centered around being a mother or grandmother. So, I don’t believe you. I think you must be GREAT at being domestic. :-P

  6. Steph says:

    Ashley,

Haha okay you caught me. Sometimes I’m good at the domestic thing. Cooking at the moment though is the bane to my existence. I’ve been so uninspired and quite a terrible wife in that way lately. And thank goodness last night I finally dusted. Yuck you would not have wanted to see our house before then. Though I am going to attempt waffles this morning. Sigh. It all comes and goes in waves. Weekends = Domestic Stephanie. Weekdays = Work Don’t-Talk-To-Me Stephanie. lol.

  7. Lisa's Chaos says:

I learned bunches. :) I love diet coke instead coffee and used to fall asleep to Forensic Files – the narrators voice is very soothing and makes me sleepy. :)

Thanks for tagging me! It has kind of forced me to stop lurking around other people’s blogs and actually comment. I love your blog, btw. You can check out my answers and who I tagged:

I used to always watch Friends before bed too! Well, two episodes of Friends and then one of Seinfeld! Oh man. Now I have the problem of always reading some magazine before bed — I need to just go to bed and get some sleep! And I wish I was like you and loved cleaning. Nope. Hate it! But a dirty house still stresses me out.
