I love my cousins. Have I not said that enough on this blog?
Well I do. And on October 24th, I will officially have two more. My Jessica and her husband Luke have been fostering little Faith and Jason for almost a whole year. And from the moment those two stepped into their door they were their children. I got to see my cousin Jessica who I’ve known my entire life become a mother overnight. And a pretty amazing one at that. She went from an empty home to one with a two year old and a three year old. Two children who were so thirsty for love. And it’s a great fit, because with both Jessica’s and Luke’s families, there is plenty of love to go around. They have been their children for a year, and now we can all breathe a huge sigh of relief because they will now be their children for life.
Recently Jessica got to sign her very first birth certificates, and when I read what Luke described about the moment, I most definitely shed a tear or five.
This past weekend I got to spend more time with all my little cousins, which is time I just adore. I love seeing them grow up and learn.
Someday we’ll contribute to this little group of young ones, but until then I’m just going to enjoy my cousins and wait for the next one on the way.

AW! Such cute pictures. I can’t even tell you how much I love having all the kids together, it is just too wonderful. And you could not be more right about Jessica. What a mommy.
( I STILL have to write MY “October 24th” post… what a slacker I am.)
We also can’t wait until you add to the group of little ones, but for now it’s great to just to see you be such a sweet cousin to our little ones, and they love you so dearly. Even Bertie.
Oh I love to see pictures of my little niece and nephew. I think it’s fun that we have this amazing family in common… even if WE aren’t related. I feel very bonded to you. =)
You are a very sweet cousin to them.

Kourtni, I feel the same way! And now feel less creepy for doing so.
I always am asking Jessica how your family is doing. Which is why I’m so glad you and your sister both have blogs now! We’re coming down for the big adoption party, so we’ll be able to have a good time with everyone. It will be a so much fun.
Megan, Yep! Isn’t that just so wonderful! I’m so so so happy for them

Awww… that’s such exciting news for your family! Congrats to Jessica and to Luke! Faith and Jason are so adorable! Awww… all the cousins together are so cute! Luke’s post was sooo sweet.
seriously, they are ADORABLE! …look at those little outfits!?!?!?!? omg.
OK I’m back to commenting and what not.
When I read Luke’s post I seriously started bawling. Probably all the post-pregnancy hormones, but maybe not.
I haven’t been so great about keeping in contact with Jessica which I always feel silly about since I keep in pretty good contact with Talia and Jeremy and I’ve known Jessica way longer than those two!
That makes me so happy that it is going to be official! We just ran into them the Sunday before I gave birth. We were at the mall trying to jump start labor and I finally got to meet the kids.
