First and foremost, I’m home! After a long day of traveling yesterday, I got picked up at the San Jose airport by not only my husband, but my two puppies too! I got to brag on the way home about seeing Drew Remenda (SJ Sharks hockey fans will know this guy) at the baggage claim carousel. Maisie bombarded my face with wet puppy kisses. Really there was no stopping the onslaught of her tongue.
But I came home, read about people passing out Halloween candy, and came to realize that my dogs were a little sad about not getting to dress up for Halloween. Other blogger dogs got to dress up. And mine were just jealous.
So I gave them their costumes. And they assumed the roles. Maisie is a ghost and Brodie is a black cat. Perfect right?
And then I ate him. The end.

hahaha the last line made me laugh out loud.
Edie sat their like, “okay, take your stupid photo, woman” then promptly shook it off!
Oh, is the Maisie one a Cairn? I used to have one named Rikki Sweatinose. Yours reminds me so much of him. Both are just so adorable and you photograph them so well! Great costumes as well lol.
Maegan, She’s actually a Westie, but I don’t keep her up in the westie haircut because it’s too high maintenance for me! lol! Very close in relation to a cairn though.
Neo’s so purrdddy. Garbage did NOT like his devil horns or cape
Glad you are home again safe again jiggity jog! (I know. Weird saying. My dad used to always say it and now it’s like, engrained in me or something.)
And you are so freaking hilarious! “And then I ate him. The end.” Muahahaha! Loves it!
And you say my blog is cute!!! “And then I ate him”….the humor of that statement snuck up on me and I literally snorted with laughter!! ha ha ha ha ha hahahahah!
Welcome home! Poor neglected kids. Actually, they probably appreciate not being dressed up only so their mommy can take pictures to post on her blog. Not that I know anything about that.
Yay! Welcome home!! That’s so cute the pups came to pick you up too! That must have been the best surprise!
Hahah, this post was too funny! You are a crackup!
Sarah, well not so much a surprise, as much as I called and said “Cale please bring the puppies!” haha.
I love the last line, laughing out loud at their costumes. Brett and I bring the dogs for airport pickups, its the best!!!! Nothing like excited puppies and spouse and wet kisses from both to welcome you home.
Aww!!! Such a cute coming home! You were so excited to get home. So happy for you.
Um, about the costumes… they TOTALLY had TONS of Disney pet stuff at this one store in Epcot. Dog bowls, leashes, TOYS, treats, nd yes…COSTUMES! My dog wouldn’d fit in them, but I bet yours totally would have.
But the costumes you gave them are great. lol.
FYI, I have like 200+ photos I need to start downloading. Ugh, with the time change my body is now a full 4 hours ahead and I only got like 3 hours of sleep last night. So not finishing evals tonight.
glad you made it home safely….
They are cute enough without costumes! Lola only kept hers on for all of 5 minutes anyway…she’s a brat like that
how did I miss this cute post about your adorable pets?? Hmmm, what an oversight on my part.
You’re so funny– at first I was like “what costumes, why didn’t she actually put up picture of them in their costumes?” And then I got the delicious Stephanie humor and it all made sense.
Oh good, I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t get it at first! Cleaver “costumes” and I’m sure they probably loved those costumes better than ones made of cloth…our friend’s dogs were DYING to get their costumes off all night…hilarious!
