Apparently I don’t say enough when I’m awake

A couple weeks back on the night before Thanksgiving, my husband was up later than I was and got an earful apparently. As I mentioned before, my words of wisdom in my sleep were “Don’t Die… It’s Thanksgiving.”

Well ever since my husband has gotten quite a kick out of staying up later than me to hear what I have to say (well he’s actually working on wrapping up his finals and writing papers and stuff for school.. but I guess this is an extra perk). And I have not disappointed!

I woke up the other day to find this on my twitter:

Dude! Don’t make fun of me! I brushed it off though because I’m cool like that. I must have been really tired or something. Really because I don’t talk in my sleep! Really! I mean, I had like four different roommates in college, and I spent the night at many a sleepover growing up. I even just recently had a roommate in my hotel room while I was in Orlando. I’m not that person. I do not talk in my sleep! Right?

But then this morning I was greeted with this email:

   I talked in my sleep alot until I was in college. Either no one has told me but I don’t think I talk much in my sleep anymore. BUT I used to talk about people that were at the sleepover, it was very dangerous (luckily it never made sense but I guess I am quite the gossiper in my sleep)

   Buahahaha! Sleep talking stories are my favorite! My husband talks in his sleep alot – well, it sort of goes in waves. He will do it for a week straight and then not again for a few months. It’s seriously unsettling, to be honest. It weirds me out. As long as he doesn’t sleepwalk, then I guess I’m okay with it, though.

   My favorite is how he emailed you, “You’re so hot when you’re asleep.” So funny! I love you guys.

   A friend told me I sang in my sleep once. If that’s not weird, I’m not sure what is.

   Oh, Stephanie…..

   I am a very bad sleeper. I talk, walk, and sing in my sleep. Crazy stuff happens at our house when I am sleeping.

   A few months ago I said to my husband…..WHOA, White boy play that funky music.

   I am so glad that I am not the only person like this. It makes me feel better

   So funny. I’ve been there too. For a while there whenever I’d share a room with people I’d hear from the that I was jabbering in my sleep. I hated it! It weirds me out to think about myself doing it, especially since the stuff I said was always so random. I always thought it would be creepy to record yourself at night sleep-talking…

   Aww. I grind my teeth. My mom has told me I’ve done this my whole life but i never believed her. Past roomies have said I ‘growled” in my sleep. It amused them. Hubby says I still “growl” lol.

   Ha ha ha hahhahah! How funny! Will tells me that I mumble while going to sleep every night and sometimes he will have entire conversations with me, but my side makes no sense. I’ll have to get him to write them down sometime b/c this post was hilarious!

   ha! Sleep talking stories are hilarious. I totally talk in my sleep when I’m really exhausted, stressed, or tipsy. The husband is great about giving me a recap the next day.

    i’ve talked in my sleep only a couple times…and sleep walked too, which i hear some pretty funny stories about.

    I love it. Andrew brings me entertainment when he sleeps too. He once said: “I don’t want to look at any of these blogs” in his sleep. Now tell me he’s not trying to tell me something. Ha!

    ROFLMAO!!! i found this post SO FREAKIN FUNNY. mainly i think bc i can relate, i’ve been a sleeptalker all my life and my mom always had so many funny stories of me. My hubby never catches the funnies bc he usually falls asleep before me and HE sleep talks too! Ive woken myself up speaking to him in my sleep and him REPSPONDING in HIS sleep! LOL we’re quite the pair. i’ll have to get cales twitters sent to my phone now so i can keep laughing at you in your sleep i love it!
