This weekend I started a long overdue project. A project as old as Brodie. My mom had bought a video hardware that allowed you to plug a VCR into your Mac that would then allow you to import video tapes in order to transfer them on to DVD. Sounds easy enough right. So I told my mom I would gladly do it for her if she would help me get my dream dog. (Yes Brodie). So finally two years later I’m paying my debt. Well on my now five year old iMac, the job is quite time consuming. But let me tell you the rewards have been great. Not only has Cale gotten to see many many hours of my childhood (did I mention there was a box full of tapes?? no not shoebox. A BOX. We’re talking around forty. You do the math). But I found something I have been looking for for over a year. Something so near and dear to my heart that I literally jumped for joy.
The night of my bachelorette party hosted by Morgan was the last time I wore them. Now I know what you’re thinking, but I did walk away from the party in them. The next day though, I moved from Fresno to Sunol, and there my friends is where things got crazy. That evening while I was with my girls for the last time, Cale was loading my uHaul and packing up the rest of my stuff. Now in hindsight I completely understand how my shoes ended up in that box. It was one of the last boxes packed and probably the only one with room left. Once I got back from the honeymoon and settled in, I searched the house high and low for them and could not find them. I assumed they had gotten lost at my mom’s in all the wedding madness. But nope. Had I only gone through my end of the bargain I would have found my shoes much sooner.
Moral of the story.. Don’t procrastinate for a year!
We have a winner for our contest, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to find out! Also another bonus to burning home videos to DVD… easy blog content. Expect many cute Stephie and Cay Cay videos to come.
