It’s just a little paint.

Oh hello there readers. It’s only been a whole month without hearing from me. I hope this makes up for it! Now what in the world have I been up to? Well let’s start with a lot of working late, add in a week of bronchitis, and throw in a bathroom painting project just for fun. I’m lucky my husband hasn’t given up and left me for someone else who isn’t insane.

I think he’s forgiven me because the bathroom before was quite a dungeon. And now? Now it’s so pretty! Really. I think I want to live in it.

See for yourself!

Before. Let’s see.. ugly wood paneling, ancient rusty mirror threatening to fall and kill someone, 80′s shelf thing. Just not pretty.

Step One. Buy new HUGE mirror. Check out that price tag. Big Lots for $30! It was amazing. I almost cried. Okay not really. But deal of the century? Yes I believe so.

The next room for painting is our living room. We have the routine down, so it should be pretty quick. If only I could stop being such an insane perfectionist. Really I think that doubles the amount of time it takes for us to paint. What room in your house are you itching to paint?

What is a date with Cale or Stephanie like?

Last night Cale and I went out to grab some sushi. I’ve had a long week: I had a paper due and a presentation to make in my class, evaluations were due at work, and Friday my blog basically blew up. Seriously, there were so many things going on, the last thing I felt like doing was cooking. So we went out. And it was a great time. So much fun, I thought I’d share that good time with all of you!

So yes, I did spend some time this morning to fix myself a new layout on this blog. I know there will be a few more things I need to tinker with, but overall, I’m pleased. Also, this is my first time adding captions in my videos for my beloved blogger friends that are deaf, and I must say it made it much more fun! I hope you all enjoy!

The last minute of this video may only be funny to me.

I love me some keyboard cat. It will without a doubt make me laugh. You can also add the last thirty seconds of “Do you wanna see my dance?” and Maisie with a cone on her head to that list. So I will use that as my excuse for the last minute of this video. Too bad you have to sit through four minutes of my chatting to get to that part. But I will tell you, there is one photo of the babies thrown into the video. So if nothing else, there’s your motivation to watch.
